^^^ These two lovey dovey's just sat in the corner and kissed each other! It was so funny and cute!
^^^Zaboomafoo!
We really had the whole other half of the Zoo to go, but after I saw the elephants I was satisfied, and we left!
Delmar Loop
The next stop was Delmar Loop. Brandon could not wait to take me here just so we could eat at The Pi. When we got to Delmar Loop a crazy storm was passing through. It was raining so hard that all we could see were the lights of the cars in front of us. And BAM we got rear ended. I was so angry! I did not want to have issues with a rental car the night before we were about to leave the country. Brandon jumped out of the car in the downpour and I sat inside fuming. He jumped back in and told me that the guy didn't speak english so he just got his phone number. That made me even more annoyed! Just our luck. But thankfully Brandon said that he could not see any damage at all. We pulled over to a covered parking place and jumped out to make sure nothing was wrong. I could tell that there was a big long scratch/scuff on the bumper but luckily just kind of blended in with the charcoal color of the car. We just crossed our fingers that when we turned the car back in that they wouldn't notice. Well spoiler alert... they didn't! Phew... that was definitely nerve racking haha. The first place we went on Delmar Loop was Fitz's. It was such a cute place and I want to go back! We were able to watch them bottle their soda and we tried the delicious floats. I got a Cream Soda Float and Brandon got a Root Beer Float. Oh boy, they were huge! We definitely should have shared but so worth it. We definitely had our dessert before dinner. But dinner did not disappoint either! That Pi Pizza was to die for! I'll just let the picture do the talking.
After dinner we were completely stuffed. Brandon and I had to take the car rental back at 4:00 AM the next morning. We decided to get to the hotel early so we could make sure to get our stuff all packed and ready to go. Well we got crazy and decided to stay up all night instead of going to sleep. It was miserable! Man we are so old, that used to be so easy. But we did it and we definitely tried to enjoy every last second we had in St. Louis. I am so very glad that I got to go back to where brandon served his mission. I enjoyed reminiscing with him and seeing how excited he got to be back in the city. He really is a city boy only wishes I would allow him to live right in the hustle and bustle of it all. But this girl is not down with that. Until next time St. Louis, we had a blast!
