Another Day in the City
After breakfast with the Betzolds we made our way back to the city. We first made our way to the Basilica. It is a beautiful catholic church and the artwork was mind boggling. The walls and ceilings were covered with small tiles to create the art. It was crazy to see all the pictures interpret things differently than the LDS church believes. But regardless of the differences we have as a religion, it was a cool place to go and visit.
After the Basilica we made our way to our hotel to take a break and to figure out what we were going to do for the rest of the day. We decided to go on the Budweiser tour. It was kind of neat but mostly weird because we don't drink! haha But it's okay we just had to kindly decline the free samples they were giving everyone! And now we know how to brew beer... what a great little nugget of knowledge we have now ;).
After the tour Brandon and I overheard someone talking about Gus'. So we decided we would head over their for lunch. It was a cute little pretzel place where you can watch them make the pretzels through the windows. It was a good choice.
After eating our Pretzels, Brandon took me to see the Graffiti walls and they were so awesome! There is some serious talent on those miles of concrete!
After exploring the walls we made our way to The Hill (a little Italian part of town) for some dinner. We ate at a restaurant called Favazza's. It as devine!! The best garlic bread I have ever had. After Favazza's we made our way to Ted Drew's. It was some of the most delicious custard I have ever had! And after a delicious dinner it was even better to have a sweet treat!
^^^ This little guy was by our car outside of Favazza's
It was a perfect ending to an awesome day!
