St. Louis Part 1

This year Brandon and I decided to take a trip together and call it... "The Last Hurrah!". I mean, we are getting older and we eventually want to start having a family, but we totally needed a nice vacation from our busy lives before we even could think about when to start growing our little family! We decided to make it a two in one trip. Brandon served his LDS mission in St. Louis and we knew that going back to visit was a must! We also decided that we needed the beach in our lives. We loved our all inclusive trip to Cabo on our honeymoon, so we knew that all inclusive was the best way to enjoy the beach. We were supposed to go to the Dominican Republic on our honeymoon, but a hurricane happened, and we had to change plans the night before our wedding! I always said that we needed to go back to the D.R., So we did! It really was the best trip ever, and I am so so glad we saved up to go! Just be ready for way too many pictures...
St. Louis Temple

When we first arrived in St. Louis, the temple was our very first stop. It was so dang beautiful! I asked Brandon if the temple was closed because there was literally three cars in the parking lot, including ours! He laughed and reminded me that we definitely weren't in Utah anymore. I actually loved how peaceful it was without all the hustle of people in and out of the building. It was nice to walk around in the peace and quiet, just the two of us. The temple really is such a special place and I am so happy that we get to experience its sacredness and beauty!

In the City

We stopped and ate at this yummy BBQ place called Hannegan's. I ate the yummiest pulled pork sandwich, ever

After that we explored a little slice of the city. We also made sure to get me a Cardinal's hat before we rode the metro to the game! Had to represent while in St. Louis! The game was so much fun! I am so glad that we got to go to a great game. It stayed interesting, which is usually hard to do when it comes to baseball. The Cardinal's sadly lost by one run in the 9th inning. After the game we drove all the way to Columbia which was 2 hours away. After a long day of traveling we were soooo exhausted. We stayed with a family that housed Brandon as a missionary. The Phillips were so awesome to let us barge into their house at midnight to get some sleep. We saved all the visiting until the morning.

You guys, this picture cracks me up!! We totally got "photo bummed"!!
