We Survived! Marriage, of course.

Two years, people. TWO YEARS! I have been married to this handsome man for two whole years

You might want to think that this is not that big of an accomplishment, but now days, it's an eternity! I'm really just exaggerating (he tells me I am pretty good at that), but I am so glad we have survived these short two years. And seriously, whoever said the first year is the hardest, LIED! And it's not because we don't love each other or that we can't stand each other (that only happens sometimes, right?). We love each other more than anything! We have a silly relationship, that is for sure. We tease each other more than anything else and it makes for so many laughs. He is my favorite dorkus on the planet.

Year two has been one for the books. For goodness sakes we have we been put through the ringer this past year, and guess what, we are still truckin' through it! Trials have a silly way of presenting themselves all at once. I think when I get to heaven I will ask God why he thought that was a good idea. And of course we know there must be a reason, but we like to be stubborn about that. We have had the best of times and the worst of times, all lumped into two small years of marriage. I am so glad for the growth that this stage of life is giving us. I thank God every day for the man that I chose to take on the challenge of this thing we call LIFE. He is my greatest supporter, my biggest fan, my better half, and my partner in crime. He keeps me laughing until I cry (most of the time I am laughing at him, sometimes I'm evil, he's great!). He hugs me, kisses my forehead, and wipes away my tears of sadness and frustration as they stream down my face (and let me tell you, that has happened more than I would ever like to admit. He is a SAINT. It has been a rough year). He tries his hardest to listen to me when I need to vent, or really just to listen to me in general (he could still work on this ;), like most men). He has the biggest heart that I have ever known. He would do anything to protect me and my heart from this horrible world. He is a Lover and a Fighter and I wouldn't have him any other way! (Except the fact that I wish he would let me run wild with my online shopping addiction and never roll his eyes when he sees another package with my name on it. GUILTY. He really keeps me under control, which trust me, its a good thing! Gosh, he really is my better half.)

But honestly, these past two years flew right on by! We have been through soooo much. I can't even begin to count the trials AND adventures we have had. We were able to do so much this last year and make so many memories. I am so glad I got to keep him home this summer. We have grown and have learned so much about each other. I am forever grateful for all the time we got to spend together this year. I can definitely say that some of my absolute favorite memories were made in year two. I have never loved so much in my life. I am blessed beyond belief. The bad days will always come, but the good days are what I will always remember. Cheers to two Years!

Hello, third year of marriage. BRING IT!

Sorry for the wedding picture overload, but I needed to keep some of them on the blog. And I love reminiscing!

A Reason to Celebrate!

Oh, my momma heart!
This little lady has been with us for ONE YEAR. We decided to have a little party with just the three of us. We thought it was definitely appropriate because she is our only child.
Plus, who doesn't love a reason to buy some cake and make your puppy some ice-cream?
Also, it is our two year anniversary tomorrow so we thought a pre-celebration was more than fitting. This little puppy has brought so much joy to our lives! I have ALWAYS wanted a puppy and I am so glad I finally have one. She makes our lives more difficult in a lot of ways, but we are still in love with her. She has cost us wayyy too much money and has had too many trips to the ER. But we would do anything for her. She is definitely teaching us to be responsible and maybe even helping us prepare for a future little Cissna.
Mostly, she is our favorite! We love you Zoey girl! (we know she can't read, but we talk to her like she is a human anyways, so it's fine ;))

Memorial Race

Yesterday was the first Clifford Memorial Race. Blake is one of the many awesome Clifford cousins. Blake lost his life to Cancer, some years ago. I didn't know Blake, but I know that he was an awesome boy and I know that someday I will be able to witness that. That is the best thing about forever families.

It was really awesome to spend the evening with family in honor of Blake. There were matching t-shirts, a balloon release, a biking portion of the race, a running portion of the race, a tubing portion of the race.

^^ Look at my dad go!

^^ Sorry for the super blurry river pictures, I borrowed some from my mom!

Good job, Clifford's. I think it was a success!

Oh and bike...run...and...tube = B.R.A.T.s (Yummy!)

Just Go With The Flow

This weekend we were able to enjoy a super fun time on the Weber River! It was the first time we have been kayaking down a river. I was super excited! I love to try new and adventurous things! Brandon and I really enjoyed it, and I am happy to say he fell in, and I didn’t. Because you know, it’s always a competition ;). There were some fun rapids and obstacles to keep us a little nervous. We definitely loved the thrill. There were lots of splash fights (I ended up getting soaked because I don’t know how to splash with a paddle, so I guess I can admit Brandon won that competition) there was lots of laughing, and lots of pictures. We had an awesome time with Kirk, LeAnn, Mark, Debbie, and MaKayLa. We can’t wait to go again. Brandon and I are super tempted to buy some Kayak’s of our own someday. Life can always be an adventure if you make it that way! And although I am so sad we missed a fun family party because of work, it was awesome to get the chance to break away afterwards, for some much needed family time.

Excuse my nasty, pasty white legs that haven't seen the sun since our honeymoon.. Two years ago. How embarrassing! haha and why am I all of the sudden pidgion toed???
