A day of "New"s

So I had a pretty awesome day yesterday! First I will share our crazy decision about buying a new car from Palm Beach Florida. Yes, we bought a car from Palm Beach. We are crazy! I have been wanting an SUV for as long as I can remember. Brandon and I have been dreaming about the kind of SUV that we would like to have for awhile now. We kind of came down to the decision that we would either like an Acura MDX or a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. We finally decided to make the plunge. We are still young and we both are working right now so it made sense for us to buy it now. You know, not when I decided to become a mom and we are pinching pennies. We both decided that an Acura MDX was our ideal choice. They can become pretty pricey and I was getting a little discouraged because Utah was not producing the best options for what we were looking for. Brandon finally did some deep digging outside of Utah. He found this one in Florida and did hours and hours of extensive research on it, just to make sure it was even going to be a potential buy. Within a few weeks we decided we were going to go for it! Trust me, we were both nervous about it, but buying it from a dealership made it a little less scary. Within a week of deciding that we wanted it, we sold my car (thankfully!), and bought Brandon a one way ticket to Palm Springs Florida. The deal was going down
Brandon was happy that one of his buddies decided to tag along with him, even though his friends one condition was a day at Harry Potter World. Brandon is not a fan of amusement parks, but I told him he better have fun because I was super duper jealous of his trip to Florida, especially to Harry Potter World. But even more so I was glad that Brandon had some company on the long drive home. Looking back, I wish that I just took a day off work and went with him instead! But I did end up with a beautiful new car, so I can't complain too much!
You guys, I am in love with it! It doesn't even feel real yet. It sure is a beauty!

Oh and the other new thing... I chopped my hair off! I donated it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths this time around. I have recently heard some bad things about Locks of Love, so I decided to go with somewhere different! Either way I am glad that my left over hair gets to make a difference in someones life. It's a good feeling. Speaking of good feelings, my hair feels amazing! It is fresh and light and I am loving it! Brandon was pleasantly surprised to come home to a fresh cut, and he absolutely loves it! He has been begging me for months to cut it, and I finally caved. But in the end, we both came out winners!
Janelle at Mild to Wild is the one who cut it all off for me. She is truly amazing and I will go to her every. single. time. I highly recommend her!!
Yay for feeling shiny and new!

Independence Day

God Bless America!

We feel so blessed to live in America. The 4th of July is always a fun holiday spent with friends and family. It seems to be a day where we can all stand united as a country and differences are set to the side. No matter what is going on politically, it is safe to say that the majority of people who live in this country are proud to be an American. We as a family are so grateful for the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for the rights of this country. We will never truly know what our troops have been through and we are so grateful for their selflessness.

This year we decided to go to the Demolition Derby for our celebration. It was hot and miserable! BUT, we are so glad for the company. We ended up loving it once the cars started to smash into each other. We felt a little out of place, but the redneck came out in all of us as we quickly started to cheer and pick out our favorite cars. It was only when the cars were done smashing that we realized we were boiling on those bleachers and wanted to find the nearest lake to jump into (and the overpriced shaved ice hardly did the trick)! We learned our lesson and probably won't go to that show next year, but we are happy that we at least did it once! Thanks for joining the party, MaKayla, Jordon, and Cailie!
