Anniversary Bliss

>> August 25th <<

3 Years. It is so crazy to think that it has been three years with my guy! Some days it feels like we have been married forever, other days it feels like we are just starting. Three years isn't a lot of years by all means, but it is crazy to think back at all we have been through in this short amount of time. We really have been on a crazy roller coaster ride these past few years and so far we feel like we are on an up. We have been truly blessed and we are very happy with where we are at this moment. We have so much to be thankful for. Looking back at our year two anniversary, I don't think I would have ever predicted that we would be where we are today. All I can say is that I am so grateful that I chose to be married in the Temple. We have received so many blessings and many, many prayers have been answered, and we definitely have got to give the credit to God. He never puts us through anything that we can't handle. We truly have grown and learned so much already. I am glad I found someone who knows and loves Him just as much as I do. Brandon was the best choice I ever made! I sure am lucky to be married to such a handsome, loving, and hardworking man. Our adventures have been my favorite and I am so ready to ride the rest of our roller coaster together!

This year was a super simple anniversary. Brandon out shined me big time on this one. I feel bad for not making a better effort this year. I guess I owe him. I bought my own anniversary gift this year and Brandon didn't really have a choice (I wanted some real leather boots dang it!). I bought my present early so I knew I wouldn't be getting anything on our anniversary, so I wrote Brandon a letter and basically my gift was an I owe you (seriously I still feel bad, I am so lame!). If you know Brandon, you know that he doesn't really have a way with words and he has a hard time communicating his feelings (You know in the mushy gushy way that all girls love. I know he feels those things, but sometimes I like to hear it or see it in words.). Well Brandon surprised me this year! We have talked about journal writing for a long time now. We keep saying that we want to keep a journal together but we just have never made it happen. Brandon decided to go and get a Journal personalized for us and wrote me the sweetest love note on the first page. He was so worried that his words were not good enough because he doesn't do well at expressing his feelings. All I could say is that it was the most perfect gift I have ever received. It was simple but powerful, and had all the right touches. It was heart felt and spiritual and instantly made me cry. Happy tears of course! It really was so dang thoughtful. He also got me my favorite bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. He really is the best. It made me really happy that this year wasn't necessarily about THINGS (even though my boots were my "gift".. maybe just an excuse).  This anniversary really made Brandon and I see each other in a different light and we really want to change some things and make our marriage even better! I am so excited to see where this next year takes us. Ready or not, here we go!

Happy Anniversary, Brandon! I sure do love you.

Cabin Life

This year my family made the trip to Freedom Wyoming to stay at my grandparents cabin. I absolutely love that my parents try their hardest to make sure that the family has some time during the year to spend a few days together. We stayed up late laughing and playing games, we adventured on horses and four wheelers, we floated the freezing river, hiked the mountains, shot some guns, ate delicious food and lots of junk, and made some pretty great memories! Prepare for lots of pictures of my cute FamBam!

^^ Shayla can always make us laugh! She is a jokester and we love her to death for it!

Dane really is the best uncle ever! I am excited to see him grow a special bond with my little kiddos someday!
