Brandon and I met on a blind date in September of 2011. There is a little more to the story prior to this time but it is kind of lengthy and we don't care too much about that part. The good news is, blind dates work out sometimes. Brandon tells me that he fell in love with me from day one. It took me a lot longer to realize that I loved him too. I had other plans for my life. I was planning and working on serving a full time mission for the LDS church. I wanted to go so badly, and I told Brandon that from the very beginning. Brandon was a man on a mission of his own, and was determined to make sure I changed my mind. Well, it worked I guess. I was hit with this realization like ton of bricks, on the night we were breaking up with each other, believe it or not. I guess all it took was for him to say it first, and my world turned upside down. Instead of breaking up, that one confusing night, we decided we would make ourselves officially, boyfriend and girlfriend. I told my bishop that next day that I was going to hold off on turning in my mission papers for awhile. My bishop was already convinced that he would only see me in his office again for the beginning steps of a temple marriage. He was right. We were engaged on February 25th 2012. Brandon left shortly after to do summer sales, while I stayed home and planned a wedding. It was the most stressful summer of my life. A lot of things went wrong, and you will have to ask me personally to hear all of it. We had ourperfect , almost perfect (insert many problems)Wedding day on August 25th 2012. A day we will never forget. And yes it still was absolutely amazing. Our lives as the Cissna family began. We adopted our sweet little puppy, Zoey, in August of 2013. We have lots of memories in that short time frame, and many more to come! I am so blessed that I get to keep this little family of mine for ETERNITY.
