This past September we decided to get a new puppy! Well... Brandon was pretty hesitant about it, and to be honest, I still think he is sometimes. I really wanted to get Zoey a friend before we brought a baby into the world. She is quite the diva and I figured I would rather her learn that she is not the only important thing ever, towards another dog, rather than a baby. It really was not easy at first, and we definitely still have our struggles, but the new pup really is the sweetest. We just love her guts! I decided to name her Remi. It came to me while we were walking her around Petsmart, trying to decide if she was "the one". Well she gave me all the feels and I convinced Brandon that she was ours! We adopted again of course! As much fun as it is to think of buying the exact puppy you want, there is something so great about adopting the cute little mutts who need homes! I wish I could rescue them all! Here is that sweet little face that I cannot get enough of! We love you Remi girl!
This past summer, Brandon & I were pretty adventurous. We really wanted to enjoy the great outdoors. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful state! Utah truly is breathtaking most all times of the year. This was a fun little adventure that Brandon planned. He just told me to get dressed in hiking clothes, bring the camera, and the dog, and off we went! He took me to Kamas to eat at my favorite burger and shake place. I'm telling you, Hi Mountain is a MUST GO. I am sure I have mentioned it in my blog before, but it is worth a mention again. Their burgers are juicy and delicious, and the shakes are to die for. My personal favorite is the Almond Poppy Seed shake, but trust me, you have a ton to choose from!
We stopped at the Provo River Falls. They are so darn pretty and I sure enjoyed all the picture taking I got to do. Brandon knows I love some good nature pictures and he was a trooper letting me take all the pictures I wanted that day!
Our last stop was Mirror Lake. And oh.my.gosh was that place breath taking. I think I said "I can't even" more times than I'd like to admit. It was seriously stunning. They day was perfect. It was a little windy so we didn't get the mirror effect quite like you usually would when the water is perfectly still. It really was the perfect little adventure with my two lovies, and I am so grateful to Brandon for taking me out on spontaneous adventures this past summer. It sure was nice!
Brandon and I decided to go to the Airshow at Hill Air Force Base this summer. I don't think I have been to one since I was little. It was SO hot that day, and SO many people attended. Still glad we went, even though it is not usually something that would keep my attention. Lucky for us, we showed up right in time for the nationally known flight team. I forgot what they are called since it has been months since we saw the show , but it was the show with the 6 jets. Their formations were pretty amazing to watch. Glad we got see them, not everyone was able to on the other days.
Hello Blog!
It sure has been a looooonnnnnng while. But here I am, updating anyways!
Back in June, Brandon and I took an amazing trip to Mexico! I absolutely loved it. We were a little worried because the first day was a complete downpour. I have never seen so much rain! The rooftops literally had sheets of water running off. But luckily, most of the days were filled with sun and fun! We really loved our resort. It had wild life walking all over the place! There were so many peacocks! At one point we got stuck in a random 10 minute downpour and I was hiding under a little hut with 5 peacocks, it was quite the sight I'm sure haha. The resort was so huge that we often had to take a cart to get to places. It had all different kinds of food. Our favorite (which we didn't find till towards the end unfortunately), was the crepes and ice cream. Such a cute little shop and the crepes were amazing. Another favorite (which sadly made me super sick the last 2 days of the trip.. womp womp) was the little street taco place. So yum! It also had an amazing gym which we actually used a couple times. And we ended up playing tennis a few times, which I found out is really tiring, and I have horrible hand-eye coordination. But actually I already knew that haha. We also went on an amazing excursion one of the days. Unfortunately I didn't get to take my camera! I took my GoPro though, and it has some awesome footage. I just haven't got to that yet! First we went to Tulum. It was so cool! I always love to look into history, it was a beautiful place. Next we went to paradise beach, and boy it really was paradise. I wish we were able to swim and play in the ocean for longer than we did. But man, we sure enjoyed the heck out of the turquoise water and white sand beach. Next we went on the real adventure.. we were able to ride four wheelers through the Mexican jungle. It was quite enjoyable getting all muddy and playing around (even though we were told not to ;)). They took us to the middle of the jungle and we enjoyed a real Mayan meal. Which was basically salted beans, rice, and, taquitos. It was still darn delicious because it was authentic. After the meal we were "blessed" and participated in a short mayan ceremony inside the hot teepee. The man blessed us to have babies, and little did he know, I was so dang grateful for that little blessing! We needed it :). After the ceremony we were taken to the jungle to zip line. We hiked and zip lined to about 5 different points. Brandon did not enjoy this like I did. He was too tall so his head kept hitting the top of the rope and really hurting him every time he stopped. Like a good wife, I just laughed at him. We did a baby repelling wall, too. The best part though, was swimming into the Cenotes. We had an incredible instructor who broke all the rules and took us deep into the caves and let us swim for way longer than we should have. It was seriously such an incredible experience. I could've spent hours exploring those dark water filled caves with our flash lights. It was kind of eery to think that there was so much unknown under and around us, but it was really exciting. Needless to say, our tour guide got a great tip, he was amazing. It was a loooong day that day, and we were pooped by the time we got back to the resort, but we are so glad we did it! The rest of our days consisted of lots of relaxing on the beach and swimming in the ocean. All in all it was such a fun last second trip! I am so glad I get to adventure Brandon. I look forward to the many adventures to come!

Someday I will upload photos and videos from the GoPro, but for now, I am playing catch up! I haven't blogged for 10 months or so and I hope to get back on track.
