God Bless America!
We feel so blessed to live in America. The 4th of July is always a fun holiday spent with friends and family. It seems to be a day where we can all stand united as a country and differences are set to the side. No matter what is going on politically, it is safe to say that the majority of people who live in this country are proud to be an American. We as a family are so grateful for the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for the rights of this country. We will never truly know what our troops have been through and we are so grateful for their selflessness.
This year we decided to go to the Demolition Derby for our celebration. It was hot and miserable! BUT, we are so glad for the company. We ended up loving it once the cars started to smash into each other. We felt a little out of place, but the redneck came out in all of us as we quickly started to cheer and pick out our favorite cars. It was only when the cars were done smashing that we realized we were boiling on those bleachers and wanted to find the nearest lake to jump into (and the overpriced shaved ice hardly did the trick)! We learned our lesson and probably won't go to that show next year, but we are happy that we at least did it once! Thanks for joining the party, MaKayla, Jordon, and Cailie!
